During this 3rd episode of “Rethink Finance”, Vincent Auriac, the creator of the carbon bill, shares with us his background and the circumstances that led him to design this new metric.
Recognizing the lack of reliability of the indicators on the market, he embarked on extensive research to find an indicator common to all companies. He quickly came to the conclusion that carbon emissions and their impact on climate change are a major issue, that they are applicable to all businesses in the world and that they are easily understandable by managers.

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Jeanne Derouéné, Head of Development and Communication at ValueCo. My career led me to join this company in September 2022 as part of my Master specialized in sustainable development. I was lucky enough to join this entrepreneurial adventure with a very ambitious mission: to contribute to the development of an innovative tool that aspires to become a reference in terms of comparability in the field of sustainable finance. Our aim is to bring together and harmonize the proprietary indicators of different asset managers, paving the way for a transparent comparison of ESG data across the financial ecosystem.
Recognizing the importance of surrounding myself with experts to better understand the world of responsible finance, I took the initiative to create our own podcast. I warmly invite you to join me in this exciting learning journey, as the world of finance often remains complex and compartmentalized. Together, let's break these barriers to democratize sustainable finance, by sharing the inspiring stories of those who ardently defend their beliefs.
